Tareq Ismail is the Website lead and a member of the PR team for TEDx Waterloo.

He is currently pursuing a Mathematics degree at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. His internships have led him to explore different opportunities in the tech industry including Nuance Communications, Research in Motion (maker of the BlackBerry), and Amazon.com. Having started his own design company at an early age, he has always been interested in entrepreneurship. He maintains his design company, Tareq Ismail Designs (http://www.tareqismail.com/) serving clients from around the world. His primary interests revolve around mobile user experience and marketing. His recent experience on the user interface team for the BlackBerry Storm gave him deeper insight into the world of mobile user experience by studying how different users responded to the device.

Tareq is also the co-founder of ProductMuslim (http://www.productmuslim.com/), a blog to share, develop, and conceptualize products that add value to Muslim lives. He is interested in studying how users interact with religiously and culturally centered mobile applications compared to their desktop computer counterparts.
